Wanja wrote this tune as a dedication to the great Dutch alto player Ben Van Gelder. I really love Wanja’s style of composing, with such vocal and touching melodies. Pablo presented the idea to overdub a loose shaker he heard on the album “Ronald’s Rhythm” by RJ Miller which consolidated the whole piece.
