Well, I think it’s obvious that Jaco Pastorius is a major influence on me. His groove, sound and ideas for accompanying melodies always helped me to find new inspiration. “Pocus Opus” is based on an older composition that I recorded with my first quartett - “Sketch”. Although I kept the form and harmonies, I discovered a new bass- and melody which was then beautifully interpreted by our mellotron singer ;)
